FAQ — venue owners

The commercial and practical questions an owner asks before signing up.

Common questions

Who holds our money?

You do. Every sale goes into your own payment account as it happens, minus Spotly's fee. There is no Spotly wallet and no holding period.

Do you see our bank details?

No. You give those to Stripe on Stripe's own site. Spotly never sees or stores them.

What does it cost?

There is a service fee, and your terms come from Spotly directly — they depend on what you sell and where you are. Free table bookings carry no fee, because nothing is processed.

Do we have to take payments online?

No. Free table bookings work fully and need no payment setup at all.

Do we own our customer list?

Yes. Everyone who books with you is in your guest list, and you can email them from the panel.

Do our guests need to download an app?

No. Everything works on the web, and buying does not require an account.

Can we use our own web address?

Yes — a venue can point its own storefront domain at Spotly.

Can we keep taking walk-ins and phone bookings?

Yes, and you should enter them so your floor view and your numbers are complete.

Is it exclusive?

No. You can keep whatever else you use, though you get much more out of Spotly if your bookings all live in it.

What if we want to stop?

Your data is yours and your payment account is yours. Talk to the Spotly team.

Can we price in Danish kroner?

Not yet. Danish venues price in euros today.

How long does setup take?

A working setup is an afternoon. Payment verification is Stripe's process and can take longer.
