How a venue joins Spotly
You create the venue, invite the owner, and agree the fee. Here is the whole path.
You create the venue yourself. Convert the lead, agree the service fee, invite the owner by email, and help them configure it. The owner accepts the invitation, creates their own account and takes ownership. You stay attached as the partner — you never become the owner.
What actually happens
What the venue does
- You agree with the venue that they are joining, and on what terms.
- Open the lead in your dashboard and Convert to a venue. You will need the venue's real map pin — an address alone is not enough.
- Set the service fee as part of the conversion, or leave it and set it later.
- The venue is created as a draft — invisible to guests, and attributed to you.
- Invite the owner by email. They create their own account and accept; you never set a password for anybody.
- Help them configure it — profile, images, hours, floor plan, products.
- If they will take money, they connect Stripe. You can only send a reminder.
- Spotly publishes them live once the checklist is clear.

The owner still creates their own account
The invitation is a link that works once and expires. They sign up with the email you invited; you cannot create an account on their behalf, and accepting with a different address is refused.
That is deliberate. The person who accepts becomes the venue's admin, with access to its settings, its money and its guests — that has to be them.
Important notes
Publishing is not yours. The checklist can read 100% and the venue still needs Spotly to put it live. It is the one irreversible commercial step, and it is deliberately not a button you have.
