What is Spotly?

Spotly is how people find somewhere to go tonight and book it — a table, a ticket, a beach umbrella — and how the venue runs that night from one panel. The guest discovers an event, pays, and gets a QR code. The venue approves the booking, sees its floor fill up in real time, scans guests at the door, and receives the money in its own bank account.

Why a venue cares

Most venues run bookings on Instagram DMs, a phone and a paper book, and sell tickets through whoever asks. That costs them three things: no-shows they cannot predict, tables they under-sell, and guests they never hear from again. Spotly replaces the book, takes payment up front where the venue wants it, and leaves the venue with a guest list it owns.

Two products, one platform

Almost every venue starts with one of these and adds the other later.

Reservations — the guest picks a date, a party size and, if the venue allows it, a specific table on a floor plan of the actual room. The venue approves or declines. Money is optional: a reservation can be free, or it can carry a deposit or a bottle package.

Ticketing — the venue creates an event, sets ticket types and quantities, and sells. The guest pays and receives a ticket with a QR code that lives in the app. Door staff scan it.

Around those sit floor plans, packages and add-ons, offers, guest history, email campaigns, and for the right kind of venue, beach umbrellas and boat tours.

Who is on Spotly

Every venue in Spotly is a partner venue — there is no directory of places that have not signed up, except inside the discovery feed, which is a separate thing. If a venue is in Spotly, it can be booked.

Spotly is where people decide where they are going tonight, and book it. Your guests reserve a table or buy a ticket in about four taps, and pay on their phone. You see every booking before it happens, approve the ones you want, and watch your floor fill up during service. At the door your staff scan a QR code. The money goes to your own account, not ours.

Important notes

Spotly is live in Macedonia today and is being taken to Germany and Denmark. Two things are not finished for those markets and you should not promise them: pricing in Danish kroner (venues in Denmark price in euros for now) and fully localised dates and times for venues outside Skopje's timezone. Both are known and being worked on.
