Five-minute product overview

If you read one page before walking into a venue, read this one. It is the whole product in the order a venue owner will care about it.

1. Spotly is two products

Reservations and ticketing. Most venues buy one and grow into the other. A restaurant or lounge starts with reservations; a club that runs events starts with ticketing. Both live in the same panel and share the same guests.

2. The guest side is four taps

Find the event, choose, pay with Apple Pay, get a QR code. No account needed. That is the whole consumer story and it demos in forty seconds.

3. The venue side is one panel

Reservations, the live floor, events, ticket types, packages, offers, guests, payments and email — all in one place, usable on a laptop or an iPad during service.

4. Two things about tables

Guests can pick their own table, from a plan of the real room — this is the feature people react to. Or the venue assigns tables after the booking comes in. It is one setting, and an individual event can override the venue's default.

5. Two numbers on every ticket

What the guest pays, and what the venue earns. Say it before you are asked.

6. Money goes to the venue, not to Spotly

The venue connects its own Stripe account. Guests pay, Spotly takes its fee, the rest goes to the venue's account and Stripe pays it out. Spotly never holds the venue's money and never sees its bank details — Stripe collects those directly.

7. The door is a QR scan

A separate small app. Sign in, pick the venue, scan. It reads tickets, reservations, package vouchers and guestlist entries, and it tells the door immediately if a code has already been used.

8. Nothing sells until it is published

The most common support question there is. Publishing is one action, and until it happens the guest is told the event is not on sale yet.

What to be careful about

• The service fee is yours to agree. See Setting the service fee. Your own commission is not, and is not a venue's business.
• Do not promise SMS. There is none.
• Do not promise Danish kroner. Danish venues price in euros today.
• Do not promise a go-live date. Publishing is Spotly's step, and verification is Stripe's.

The 30-second explanation

Spotly does two things for you. It takes your table bookings, on a plan of your actual room, so your guests choose where they sit and you approve every booking before it happens. And it sells your tickets, with the money going into your own account, not ours. Your staff scan people in at the door with a phone. You run all of it from one panel, and you keep the guest list.
