Editing and the event lifecycle

Changing a night after it is live, and what happens to it afterwards.

An event can be edited after publishing. The edit flow covers poster, details, schedule, tickets, add-ons and a review step.

Editing while on sale

Content changes take effect immediately. Price changes apply to new sales only — tickets already bought keep what they were bought at.

The three lists

The events list groups nights into live, upcoming and past, which is how a venue actually thinks about them.

Deleting

Deleting an event removes it and, if it had its own event-specific layout, that layout goes too. For a night that has sold tickets, unpublishing is almost always the right move instead.

Important notes

If a venue edits an event and swears the change did not save, have them reload the page before investigating. Cached pages have caused this false alarm more than once.
