Events
Events overview
What an event is in Spotly, and what hangs off it.
An event is one night at one venue. It carries the poster, the lineup, the times and the age policy, and everything sold for that night hangs off it: ticket types, tables, packages and offers.
What an event owns
- Content — title, subtitle, artist, ordered lineup, short and long description, poster, an optional wide banner, gallery, accent colour
- When — date, start time, optional end time
- Who — age limit and age policy
- Where — the venue, and optionally a location override
- How tables work — whether guests pick their own, and which layout applies
- What is on sale — ticket types, and any packages scoped to this night
- Tagging — music genres, formats and vibes
Its lifecycle
Draft → published → live → past. Publishing is the moment it can be bought; before that, nothing can enter a cart.
Events and venues
A venue can run events and take everyday table bookings at the same time. Events do not replace the venue's normal service — they sit alongside it.
