Event promoters, guestlists and tracked links

The built-in affiliate feature venues already use — and the name to be careful with.

A venue can attach promoters to an event. Each gets their own tracked link, their own guestlist, and stats built from who actually turned up.

Why a venue cares

Every club already works with promoters and every club argues about who brought whom. Spotly settles it with scans instead of claims — which is a genuinely popular feature and worth demoing to a club.

What a promoter gets

  • A tracked link to the event, unique to them. Clicks are counted.
  • A guestlist — names they add, each with its own QR code and its own arrival time rule.
  • Offline sales, if the venue permits it.
  • Their own stats: clicks, guestlist signups, tickets sold, tables reserved, checked in, no-shows, conversion and attributed revenue.

Permissions, per promoter per event

The venue decides for each promoter whether they can add to the guestlist, sell offline, and see revenue. Revenue is off by default.

Stats are built from real records

A promoter's numbers come from actual tickets, bookings and door scans — not from a counter someone could inflate. The only stored number is link clicks, because a click is not derivable from a sale.

At the door

When a guest arrives through a promoter, the scanner shows who brought them — name and photo. That is how a venue settles up honestly.

Important notes

This is not the same thing as a regional partner. An event promoter belongs to one event and brings guests to it. You find and onboard venues. When a venue says "promoter" they mean the door person — see Terminology.
