Email campaigns

Emailing the venue's own guests, and how the billing works.

The venue can email everyone who has booked with it. Contacts are captured automatically when a guest books — the venue does not build a list by hand.

Why a venue cares

It is a genuine differentiator. A venue selling through a third-party ticket platform cannot email its own buyers. Here it can, from the same panel, without exporting anything.

What the venue does

  1. Choose the audience — everyone, active in the last 6 months, or the last 12.
  2. Write it: subject, preheader, from name, body, and a call to action.
  3. Use the suggested links — Spotly offers the venue's own public pages, each event and each beach, so nobody has to hunt for a URL.
  4. Send a test to themselves.
  5. Send.

The billing, said plainly

The first campaign each month is free. After that, a campaign costs a fixed amount, paid by card before it sends. There is also a monthly cap on how many recipients a venue can email.

Tell venues this before they discover it. It is a reasonable model and it reads badly as a surprise.

Reporting

Sent campaigns report delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, complaints and unsubscribes.

Important notes

Only subscribed contacts are emailed. Anyone who unsubscribed, bounced or complained is suppressed automatically and permanently. Guest-checkout accounts are excluded from marketing capture entirely.

Do not encourage a venue to work around any of this. In Germany and Denmark, emailing people who opted out is a legal problem, not an inconvenience.
