The live floor
The room on a screen during service — the screen a manager actually keeps open.
The venue's floor plan, live, for a chosen date and time window, with the bookings on it. This is the screen a manager keeps open on an iPad during service.
What it does
- Shows the room with every table's state
- Drag a booking onto a table, or select several and assign in one go
- Opens a table to see its whole night as a timeline, including guests mid-checkout
- Offers undo on every move
Three versions

Two rules built into it
- Seats should cover the party. Under-capacity warns, it does not block — the venue knows its room.
- In guest-picks mode, a booking can be moved but never unassigned. The guest chose a table.

Important notes
Tables shown as held are guests mid-checkout. They release themselves within a couple of minutes if the guest walks away. Nothing needs doing.
