How a venue gets found
The discovery layer, and why it belongs in the pitch rather than in setup.
Spotly does not only serve people who already know a venue's name. The home feed and the Discover tab surface what is happening in the city — trending nights, ones picking up speed, ones just announced, and venues nearby.
Why a venue cares
This is a real argument for a venue, and it is one that a booking system alone cannot make: people who have never heard of you will see your night.
Say it carefully, though. It is discovery, not advertising. There is no placement to buy.
What decides whether a venue appears
- Tags. An untagged event is invisible to every filter. This is the single biggest lever a venue controls, and most of them ignore it.
- Being nearby. Location matters, which is why the map pin has to be right.
- Momentum. Events that are being saved and looked at surface higher.
What a venue cannot do
There is no paid placement and no way to buy the top of the feed. A venue asking "how much to be featured" should be told that is not a product.
The 30-second explanation
When someone opens Spotly on a Friday and has not decided where they are going, they see what is actually happening in the city — and if your night is tagged properly, that includes you. That is reach you are not buying and are not getting from a booking form.
Say this out loud. It is written to be spoken, not read.
