Booking a table, as a guest
The table flow in detail, including the part that surprises people.
The guest side of a table booking, step by step, in both booking modes.
What the guest does
- Open the venue or the event.
- Pick a date, party size and arrival time.
- If the venue lets guests choose: a plan of the room, tap a table, see its seats, price and description.
- Add a package if one is attached to that table.
- Add a note.
- Pay, if there is anything to pay.
- Wait. Most bookings need the venue to accept them.
- Confirmation arrives, with the QR code.
In assign mode
Steps 3 and 4 do not happen. The guest books a party size and a time, and the venue puts them somewhere.
Important notes
A booking is a request until the venue accepts it, including a free one. A guest seeing "pending" is the system working. Demo this carefully — it is easy to make it look like something failed.
