Payments
Service fees, plainly
What Spotly takes, who pays it, and the fact that you set it yourself.
Spotly charges a service fee on what it processes. How it is charged differs between tickets and table bookings, and the figure is set per venue — by you, when you agree the deal. See Setting the service fee.
What you can say
On tickets: the fee is built into the price the guest sees. The venue sets what it wants to earn, and Spotly's fee sits on top of that. The guest sees one number.
On table and umbrella bookings: the guest sees a service fee as its own line at checkout.
On free reservations: there is no fee, because there is no transaction.
Quoting it
You can quote a rate, because you set it. That is the point of putting fee authority with the person in the room.
Two things to hold on to:
- A rate you agree today is the rate that venue expects forever. Discounting to close is easy; raising it later is a conversation nobody enjoys.
- It is Spotly's revenue you are moving, not your own. If a floor is set on your account, the panel refuses anything under it — see Setting the service fee.
Important notes
What is still not yours to invent: your own commission. How partners are paid is a separate arrangement with Spotly and is not configured anywhere in the panel. Do not describe it to a venue at all — it is not their business, and quoting it wrongly is your problem.
Why the venue's numbers are the ones to trust
Every revenue figure the venue sees in the panel is what they earn, after the fee. They do not have to work it out. See Price vs what you earn.
