What Spotly needs from a venue

The exact list. Bring this to the meeting and nothing stalls afterwards.

Everything Spotly asks for when a venue is created. Collecting it in one go is the difference between a venue being live in a week and a venue being live in a month.

Required — a venue cannot exist without these

  • Name
  • Street address
  • City
  • Country code — two letters, DE, DK, MK
  • Latitude and longitude — the actual pin on the map
  • The owner's email — they do not need an account yet; the invitation creates one
  • Venue type — club, bar, restaurant, lounge bar, pool, beach bar, boat, production
  • Description — a real one, in the venue's own voice
  • Venue email and phone for guests
  • Instagram handle
  • Currency — euros for Germany and Denmark

What you set, and what Spotly sets

You set the service fee when you convert the lead — see Setting the service fee.

Spotly sets the payment provider credentials. Do not attempt to gather processor credentials from a venue.

Coordinates matter more than people expect

The pin is what puts the venue on the map and into "near me" results. An address alone is not enough, and a lazy pin means a venue that does not appear where its guests are standing.

The 30-second explanation

To get you set up I need six things: your name as you want it displayed, your address and the exact pin on the map, your country, your public email and phone, and the email address you want to log in with. Bring me a description you actually like and your Instagram handle and I can have you looking right on day one.

Say this out loud. It is written to be spoken, not read.
