Venue onboarding

Setting up events and ticketing

What a venue needs in place before its first night goes on sale.

Ticketing needs less setup than reservations. If the venue can create an event and connect Stripe, it can sell.

What the venue does

  1. Payments connected — unless the event is genuinely free.
  2. Create the event. Poster, title, description, date, start time, act.
  3. Tag it. Music, format, vibe. Twenty seconds, and it is what makes the night findable.
  4. Add ticket types. Tiers, prices, quantities, and a sales window if they want one.
  5. Add packages, if they sell tables or bottle service.
  6. Publish.
  7. Test it — open the guest view and check it looks right and is buyable.

Do a real test purchase

Before a venue's first real on-sale, walk the guest flow yourself. It catches a wrong price, a missing poster or a tier that is not active far more reliably than reading the panel.

Important notes

Do not let a venue's first event be a big one. Put a quiet midweek night up first, sell five tickets, scan someone in. Every problem you find there is a problem you did not find on their Saturday.
