Venue onboarding

Testing before launch

The dry run that catches the things reading the panel never will.

Half an hour with the venue, walking the guest journey end to end on a real phone. It is the single highest-value thing you will do during onboarding.

What the venue does

  1. Book a table as a guest. Use your own phone, not the panel.
  2. Accept it in the panel, with the venue watching.
  3. Scan it with the scanner app.
  4. Buy a ticket to a quiet event.
  5. Scan the ticket.
  6. Scan it again so the venue sees what a duplicate looks like.

What this catches

  • Tables with no price, no seats or a confusing name
  • An event that was never published
  • A tier outside its sales window
  • Staff who cannot sign into the scanner
  • Photos that look wrong on a phone
  • Payment setup that is not actually finished

Why it matters more than the demo

The demo sells the product. The dry run is where the venue's own staff touch it for the first time, in their own room, and stop being nervous about Saturday.

Important notes

Do the dry run on a real phone on mobile data, not on the venue's wifi and not on a laptop. It is how their guests will use it.
