Reservations
The venue journey
What the venue does with a booking, from request to arrival.
Bookings arrive as requests. The venue reviews them, accepts or declines, and — in assign mode — puts them on a table.
What the venue does
- Open the reservations list. It is forward-looking by default: today and ahead.
- Filter by status, or search for a guest.
- Open a request. It shows the party, the time, any note, any packages, and the guest's history at this venue.
- Accept or decline. The guest is told either way.
- In assign mode, drag the booking onto a table on the floor plan.
- On the night, the door scans them in.
Guest history at the point of decision
When a manager opens a request, they can see what this guest has done at this venue before — previous visits and any notes staff left. That is the difference between accepting a regular and accepting a name.
Walk-ins
Staff can create a booking themselves for someone who walked in, with a name and phone number and no Spotly account. Those bookings behave like any other on the floor.
Important notes
In guest-picks mode a manager can move a booking to another table but not send it back to an unassigned queue. The guest chose a table and is expecting one.
