Troubleshooting
A guest cannot buy
The on-sale message, and the other reasons a purchase gets refused.
A guest gets as far as trying to buy and is stopped. There are four causes and they are distinguishable.
"This event isn't on sale yet"
Exact wording, and it means exactly one thing: the event is not published. Publishing fixes it immediately.
The tier is not buyable
Check, in order:
- Is it active?
- Is it paused?
- Is the current time inside its sales window?
- Is it sold out?
Payments are not enabled
If the venue is not verified with Stripe, a paid purchase cannot complete. Check the payment status reads Payments enabled — see Payment status.
The table map does not appear
If the venue sells table packages but has not assigned every package to a table, Spotly deliberately hides the map rather than showing a half-configured floor. Finish assigning the packages.
Important notes
Sold-out and paused look similar to a guest and completely different in the panel. Always check which one it actually is before telling a venue anything.
